Bagamoyo

A small town but rich in culture and history, Bagamoyo is located 75 kilometers north of Dar es Salaam. The town was born out of Kaole town. It was one of the most important trading centers on the East Africa coast during the 18th and 19th centuries. The town boasts of the beginning of the Catholic Church in East Africa and beautiful unspoilt beaches. Visitors enjoy a combination of cultural, historical and natural attractions.
