Mahale Mountains is one of the most remote and most beautiful national parks in the whole of Africa. The green forested slopes flow from the peaks to the white-sand beaches on the shoreline of the Tanganyika lake. Its about 75 miles away from Kigoma town and can be accessed by boat along the lake or by fly in. Mahale is one of the best location in the world for viewing chimpanzee and all safaris inside the park are done on foot through the forests thus it is recommended to be physically fit.
